Leather motorcycle gloves are the hand protection layer between you and the road. Every pair in this collection is built from cowhide leather with CE certified knuckle protection, reinforced palm padding and pre-curved fingers, and every pair can be made to your own hand measurements. Standard and made-to-measure sizes are produced to order.
This collection covers short racing gloves and full gauntlet motorcycle gloves in team and rider colours — Ducati Corse, Kawasaki Ninja, Honda Repsol, BMW Motorrad and S1000RR, Suzuki GSX-R, Yamaha, Aprilia RSV4 and RS4, KTM Red Bull, plus Valentino Rossi VR46, Jorge Martin, Nicky Hayden and Tom Sykes designs. Plain black leather motorcycle gloves, brown biker gloves and fully custom colourways are available on request, for men and women.
What Makes a Racing Glove Different From a Riding Glove?
A racing glove is built for a crash at speed; a riding glove is built for comfort in traffic. The differences are structural, not cosmetic:
- CE certified knuckle protection — a hard external shell over the knuckles that takes the first impact and lets the glove slide rather than grip the tarmac
- Reinforced palm — an extra leather layer at the heel of the hand, the part that hits the ground first in almost every fall
- Pre-curved fingers — the glove is stitched already bent into riding shape, so it does not fight your grip on the bars or fatigue your hands over a long session
- Secure wrist closure — a strap that stops the glove being pulled off your hand during a slide, which is how most unsecured gloves fail
- Cowhide, not synthetic — real leather abrades slowly and predictably; synthetic and bonded materials tear
Short Gloves or Gauntlet Gloves?
| Â | Short Racing Gloves | Gauntlet Racing Gloves |
|---|---|---|
| Cuff length | Ends at the wrist | Extends over the jacket or suit cuff |
| Best for | Street riding, commuting, summer | Track days, racing, high speed |
| Wrist coverage | Strap only | Strap plus forearm cuff |
| Airflow | Higher | Lower |
| Suit compatibility | Sits under the sleeve | Seals over the sleeve, no skin gap |
If you ride on track or wear a one-piece leather suit, choose gauntlet gloves — the overlapping cuff removes the gap at the wrist where a suit sleeve and a short glove separate under slide forces. For street and summer riding, short gloves are cooler and easier to pull on.
Leather and Construction
Every glove is cut from cowhide leather rather than bonded or PU-coated material. Panels are stitched with high-strength bonded nylon thread, and the palm and thumb — the highest-wear areas — carry an additional reinforcing layer. Ventilation panels are set into the finger and back-of-hand panels so the glove breathes without opening a weak point over the knuckles. Fingertips are touchscreen compatible, so you can use a phone or GPS without removing a glove at the roadside.
Team and rider designs are produced as leather patchwork rather than printed graphics. Patchwork is cut and stitched from coloured leather, so the design cannot crack, peel or wash out the way printed film does.
Custom Sizing and Made-to-Measure Gloves
Gloves are the hardest piece of riding kit to buy off the shelf, because hand width and finger length vary independently — most riders sit between two standard sizes. Every pair here can be produced to your own measurements.
Measure the circumference of your palm around the knuckles, excluding the thumb, and the length from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Send both figures with your order and the gloves are cut to those dimensions. Full instructions are on the size guide, and the how it's made page explains the production process end to end.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these motorcycle gloves CE certified?
Yes. The knuckle protection fitted to these gloves is CE certified. Full protection documentation across the range is on the protection and safety page.
What size motorcycle gloves should I order?
Measure your palm circumference around the knuckles and your hand length from palm base to middle fingertip, then check both against the size guide. If you fall between two sizes, send your measurements and the gloves will be made to fit rather than rounded up or down.
Do leather motorcycle gloves stretch?
Cowhide relaxes and moulds to your hand over the first few rides. A new racing glove should feel firm and close-fitting with no loose material at the fingertips — that initial tightness is correct and will ease. A glove that feels comfortable and roomy when new will be too large once it has broken in.
Can I get gloves to match my suit or jacket?
Yes. Any glove can be produced in the colours of a leather racing suit or leather motorcycle jacket from the same collection, including rider numbers and team colours. Matching racing boots are also available.
Are short gloves suitable for track days?
Most circuits require gloves that overlap the suit sleeve, so gauntlet gloves are the safer choice for track use. Check your circuit's technical regulations before a track day, as requirements vary.
What is the difference between racing gloves and winter riding gloves?
Racing gloves prioritise abrasion resistance, knuckle protection and bar feel, with minimal insulation. Winter riding gloves add thermal lining and waterproofing at the cost of bulk and feel. For track and sport riding, choose a racing glove.
