What's the difference between a one-piece and a two-piece suit?

A one-piece is a single garment and gives the most secure, race-focused fit — the track standard. A two-piece separates into jacket and pants, making it far easier to get in and out of, more comfortable off the bike, and more practical for road and street riding. Two-piece trades a little outright track security for everyday convenience.

Do the jacket and pants zip together?

Yes. Our two-piece suits connect with a full circumference (or partial) connecting zipper, so when joined they perform like a one-piece. You can also wear the jacket on its own for casual riding.

Is a 2-piece suit safe for track riding?

Yes, when zipped together a quality two-piece with proper armor is accepted at most track days — but some circuits and faster groups require a one-piece, so always check your specific track's tech rules. For street and sport riding, two-piece is an excellent protective choice.

What protection does a 2-piece suit include?

CE Level 2 certified armor at the shoulders, elbows, knees, hips, back, and thighs — independently certified to EN 1621-1 (limbs) and EN 1621-2 (back) and tested by a European notified body.

What leather are the jacket and pants made from?

Genuine full-grain cowhide at 1.3–1.4 mm as standard, or a kangaroo leather upgrade at 0.8–0.9 mm — lighter and stronger for its weight. No synthetic or "PU" leather.

Can I customize the design, colors, and logos on a two-piece set?

Can I wear the jacket separately from the pants?

The connecting zip is the part that matters. A short zip at the back only will let the jacket ride up in a slide and expose skin at the waist. Armour is KeepTech, independently tested and certified by Ricotest, European Notified Body No. 0498, Pastrengo, Italy, under EU Regulation 2016/425 as Category II PPE, CE and UKCA marked. Level 2 transmits about 20 kN in the standard impact test against roughly 35 kN for Level 1.

Please note: the armour is independently CE certified. The leather shell is not certified as a garment.

Leather and Fit

Full-grain cowhide at 1.3–1.4 mm is used throughout — the dense outer layer of the hide that resists abrasion rather than tearing. Bonded and PU-coated leathers are never used. Stretch panels sit at the crotch, calves and underarms, with accordion leather at the lower back.

Fit matters more on a two piece than a one piece, because the jacket must stay connected and the armour must stay over the joint. Every set is cut to your own measurements at no extra time — see the size guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a 2 piece suit on a track day?

Usually yes, provided the jacket and trousers join with a full 360-degree connecting zip, which these do. A minority of circuits require a one piece regardless. Check your circuit's technical regulations before the day.

How safe is a 2 piece compared with a 1 piece?

With a full 360-degree zip the difference is small at road speeds. At sustained racing speeds a one piece has the edge because there is no waist join at all. Armour coverage and leather specification are identical between the two.

Can I wear the jacket on its own?

Yes. That is the main practical advantage of a two piece — the jacket works as a standalone leather motorcycle jacket with its own armour.
