Polar Vex Motorcycle 2 Piece Leather Suit

The Polar Vex Motorcycle 2 Piece Leather Suit is a full race-specification leather suit in two piece configuration, built from full-grain cowhide with CE Level 2 armour at every protected position.

The jacket and trousers join with a full 360-degree connecting zip that runs the whole way around the waist, which is what most circuits require of a two piece. Cut to your own measurements, with a race fit that holds the armour over the joint it protects.

Outer Shell

• Full-grain cowhide leather, 1.3–1.4 mm, for high abrasion resistance — kangaroo 0.8–0.9 mm available as an upgrade
• Design reproduced in leather patchwork, cut and stitched from coloured hide so it cannot crack, peel or fade like print
• Pre-curved sleeves and legs with race-fit ergonomic panelling
• Triple safety stitching throughout with high-strength bonded nylon thread
• Original YKK zippers at the front, sleeve cuffs and ankles
• Kevlar stretch panels at the crotch, behind the calves and under the sleeves
• Accordion leather stretch across the lower back and above the knees for a forward racing crouch

Armour Specification

Armour is KeepTech, independently tested and certified by Ricotest, European Notified Body No. 0498, Pastrengo, Italy, under EU Regulation 2016/425 as Category II PPE, CE and UKCA marked. Level 2 transmits about 20 kN in the standard impact test against roughly 35 kN for Level 1. The armour is independently CE certified; the leather shell is not certified as a garment.

Does made to measure cost more?
No. Every suit is cut to order, so a made-to-measure fit is the same price and the same production as a standard size.

Should I choose cowhide or kangaroo?
Kangaroo at 0.8–0.9 mm matches cowhide at 1.3–1.4 mm for abrasion resistance at lower weight, which is why racers use it. Full-grain cowhide is harder wearing and costs less.

Can I get matching gloves and boots?
Yes. Any glove or boot can be produced in the same colourway.

Do you ship worldwide?

Can you reproduce a design from a photograph?
Yes. Send a reference image and the layout, colours and panel design are reproduced in leather patchwork. Artwork is cut and stitched from coloured hide rather than printed, so it lasts the life of the suit.

Can this be made as a one piece or two piece?
Both. A two piece uses a full 360-degree connecting zip around the waist. Specify at the time of order, as it cannot be converted afterwards.
