A one piece motorcycle leather racing suit is a single sealed garment from collar to ankle, with no waist join that can separate in a slide. Every suit in this collection is cut from full-grain cowhide 1.3–1.4 mm or kangaroo leather 0.8–0.9 mm, triple stitched with high-strength bonded nylon thread, and fitted with CE Level 2 armour at the shoulders, elbows, knees and back. Suits are made to your own measurements and delivered worldwide in 19 to 28 business days.
The collection covers full race-spec one piece leather suits for track days, circuit racing, sportbike and superbike riding, in team liveries and fully custom colourways. Perforated, partially perforated and non-perforated options are available, along with speed humps, removable linings and matching racing gloves and boots.
Should You Buy a 1 Piece or a 2 Piece Suit?
| Â | 1 Piece Suit | 2 Piece Suit |
|---|---|---|
| Construction | Single sealed garment | Jacket and trousers joined by a zip |
| Slide protection | No waist seam to separate | Relies on the connecting zip |
| Track eligibility | Accepted at every circuit | Restricted at some circuits |
| Street use | Awkward off the bike | Jacket can be worn alone |
| Best for | Racing, track days, fast road | Sport touring, commuting, mixed use |
Choose a one piece suit if you ride on track. Most circuits require a one piece or a two piece with a full 360-degree connecting zip, and the one piece removes the question entirely. If your riding is mostly road, a 2 piece suit is more practical off the bike.
Armour and Protection
All armour fitted to these suits is CE Level 2 — the higher of the two impact ratings — at every body area, not just the shoulders and elbows. Level 2 armour transmits about 20 kN of force in the standard impact test, against roughly 35 kN for Level 1. Lower transmitted force means less energy reaching you.
| Body area | Standard | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Back | EN 1621-2:2014 | Level 2 |
| Shoulders | EN 1621-1:2012 | Level 2 |
| Elbows | EN 1621-1:2012 | Level 2 |
| Knees | EN 1621-1:2012 | Level 2 |
The armour is KeepTech, independently tested and certified by Ricotest, European Notified Body No. 0498, Pastrengo, Italy, under EU Regulation 2016/425 as Category II PPE, and carries both CE and UKCA marks.
Two armour sets are offered: a premium ventilated compound and a standard perforated foam. Both are fully CE Level 2 at every position; they differ only in breathability.
Please note: the armour is independently CE certified. The leather shell itself is not certified as a garment.
Leather and Construction
Suits are made from full-grain cowhide at 1.3–1.4 mm, or kangaroo at 0.8–0.9 mm where a lighter suit is wanted. Full-grain is the outermost, densest layer of the hide and retains the natural fibre structure that resists abrasion; bonded and PU-coated leathers are never used. Main seams are triple stitched with high-strength bonded nylon thread so the stitching does not fail before the leather does.
Stretch panels sit at the crotch, behind the calves and under the sleeves, with accordion leather across the lower back and above the knees so the suit moves with a forward racing crouch instead of fighting it. See how it's made for the full process.
Custom Sizing
Every suit is made to order, so standard sizing and full made-to-measure cost the same time. A race suit must fit closely to keep the armour over the joint it protects — armour that slides out of position during a crash protects nothing. Send your measurements using the size guide and the suit is cut to them.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a custom leather racing suit take to make?
All suits are made to order and delivered worldwide within 19 to 28 business days. Made-to-measure sizing does not extend that window.
Is a one piece suit required for track days?
Most circuits require either a one piece leather suit or a two piece with a full 360-degree connecting zip. A one piece satisfies every circuit regulation. Always check your specific circuit's technical rules before the day.
What CE level is the armour?
CE Level 2 at every position — back, shoulders, elbows and knees. Back protectors are certified to EN 1621-2:2014 and limb protectors to EN 1621-1:2012, tested by Ricotest, Notified Body No. 0498, Italy.
Should a leather racing suit feel tight?
Yes. A new suit should feel firm, close and slightly restrictive when standing upright, and correct when you sit on the bike in a riding position. Full-grain leather relaxes and moulds to you over the first few rides. A suit that feels comfortable standing up is too big.
Can I have my own colours, logos and race number?
Yes. Colours, leather patchwork logos, rider name and race number can all be specified. Browse custom made suits and jackets for fully bespoke builds.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, with the same 19 to 28 business day production and delivery window. Full armour details are on the protection and safety page.
