The Custom Motorcycle Racing Jacket Made to Measure is built for riders who want a genuine race-grade leather jacket cut to their own body, not pulled from a rack of standard sizes. It is specially designed for professional and everyday bikers alike, combining premium leather, advanced protection and a fit that works in the riding position rather than just standing still. Built for both track and street riding, it delivers high-performance safety while keeping a sleek, aggressive look.

What "made to measure" actually means

A made to measure motorcycle jacket is cut and built from your own measurements instead of generic S–M–L sizing. Off-the-rack jackets are drafted for an "average" body, so they can gap at the collar, bunch at the waist, or pull tight across the shoulders the moment you tuck into a lean. When you customize a motorcycle jacket to your exact measurements, the leather sits where it should, the sleeves rotate forward with your arms, and the cuffs and hem stay put at speed. On a leather jacket, fit is not cosmetic — it is what keeps the armour sitting over the joint it is meant to guard.

Who this custom motorcycle jacket is for

This custom motorcycle leather jacket is a strong choice for riders who fall between standard sizes, anyone with a tall, short, athletic or otherwise non-standard build, and riders who simply want a precise fit and a design that is theirs alone. It is available in both men's and women's fittings, with fully custom sizing so the same jacket can be built to very different bodies.

How the custom process works

  • Measurements: You send your measurements using our size guide, or your own set of numbers.
  • Production: The jacket is then cut and built to order for your body and your chosen options — see How It's Made for the process.
  • Delivery: Every jacket is made to order rather than shipped from stock, so it is built after you order and delivered within 19–28 business days, with worldwide shipping.

How do I measure for a custom jacket?

Measure over a thin base layer, keep the tape level, and never pull it tight — the fit is added in production. The core measurements are:

  • Chest, around the fullest part
  • Waist and hips
  • Shoulder width, seam to seam across the back
  • Sleeve length, from shoulder seam to wrist with a slight bend in the arm
  • Back length, and your height and weight

Our size guide walks through each one, and if you are unsure you can contact us before ordering.

Leather, panels and stitching

Outer shell construction:

  • Genuine full-grain cowhide leather, 1.3mm–1.4mm, never bonded or PU, for high abrasion resistance and long life, or optional kangaroo leather at 0.8mm–0.9mm for a lighter shell
  • Pre-curved sleeves for a natural riding posture
  • Original YKK zippers on the front and cuffs
  • Kevlar stretch panels under the sleeves for flexibility
  • Triple safety stitching throughout in high-strength bonded nylon thread
  • Professional leather patchwork for logos and custom designs

Armour and CE protection: what CE Level 2 means

This jacket is fitted with KeepTech impact armour, and every protector is rated CE Level 2 — the highest impact rating — not the Level 1 fitted to a lot of gear. The shoulder and elbow protectors are certified to EN 1621-1:2012 and the back protector to EN 1621-2:2014, both at Level 2. In the standard test, Level 2 lets through around 20 kN of force against roughly 35 kN for Level 1 — noticeably less reaching your body. The armour is independently tested and certified by Ricotest (European Notified Body No. 0498, Pastrengo, Italy) under EU Regulation 2016/425 as Category II PPE, and is both CE and UKCA marked. Two armour sets are offered — a premium ventilated compound and a standard perforated ventilated foam — and both are fully Level 2; the difference is breathability and feel, not protection. Every protector is removable in its pocket.

One honest distinction, the same one we make on our Protection & Safety page: the armour is independently CE certified, but the leather shell is not. The shell is engineered for abrasion resistance from genuine cowhide — never bonded or PU — and triple safety stitching in high-strength bonded nylon thread; we don't claim a garment-level certification it doesn't hold. Fit still matters most: made-to-measure sizing keeps each Level 2 protector over the joint it guards.

Inside the jacket

  • 100% polyester mesh lining for breathability
  • Two inside pockets
  • Removable CE Level 2 protectors at the shoulders, elbows and back
  • Soft inner construction for all-day comfort, with reinforced safety stitching

Ways to make it yours

  • Leather: Cowhide, Kangaroo or Monaco
  • Stretch material: optional Schoeller-Keprotec® panels
  • Fit: Regular, Slim or Relaxed
  • Perforation: full, partial or selective ventilation panels
  • Colour: fully customisable combinations
  • Logos and names: custom embroidery, printing or leather patchwork, making this an easy base for custom embroidered motorcycle jackets and personalised designs
  • Matching gear: gloves and boots available to match

Track or street?

For track days, lean toward a snug Regular or Slim fit, heavier stretch panels and full perforation for airflow at speed. For street and mixed riding, a Relaxed fit with partial perforation leaves room for a base layer and keeps wind-chill down. Either way the jacket is built to the same construction standard — you are choosing how it is set up, not how well it is made.
